I studied Computer Science in college. It was more of a generational theme at that time. So, I jumped the bandwagon. After college, I applied as a coder at a local auto dealership, but ended up selling cars as they had hired someone else before me. I didn’t like the selling part, but I loved the technical aspect of the business and helping people make a decision on colors, equipment’s, etc. It was a short stint since I moved to the US after less than a year.
Here, I ended up at another dealership. I realized how much I like the engagement with people with their needs for advice and counsel. After a couple of decades in the business, i started looking for a more challenging career. That’s when a former car guy turned insurance broker invited me to a cup of coffee at his office. And, so they say, the rest is history.
